Samples

Due to freezer space considerations, we discard your samples three months after they have been processed. If there are leftover raw samples available, we will discard those after six months.

Downloading your mass spec data and result files

Once your analyses are finished, you will receive an email with a link to download raw data files (and result files if needed). You can use these data for submission to public database as required for most publications.

We will keep your raw data for six month. After six months, your raw data files will be archived in BioHPC computer for three more years for free. However, after six months, an additional charge will be applied for recovering the data from the BioHPC archive. If you want us to archive your raw data files more than three years, storage fee will be charged $100/Tb/year.

Data retrieval

Past 30 days, your data will be archived and stored for six months. This backup is not a substitute to saving your data in your user folder on the shared network drive.

Retrieving archived data takes time from the facility staff, and we charge for this service. The minimum charge is half an hour, thereafter in quarter-hour increments.
